LH tail light for 82 500 sl w107

Hi everyone,

would anyone know wher I could get a LH tail light for 82 500 sl w107? I was just after the aluminium housing, my lens is ok.

Mine was broken upon removal by the body shop as it was urethaned in by some idoit in the past, trying to save a few dollars on a tail light seal.

Regards

Damian

If the lens is fine, then I believe that any tail light for a 107 should have the proper aluminum housing. I've swapped parts around on three different vintages of 107 tail lights. The part numbers didn't always match, but the parts all seemed to be interchangeable.

The only difference that I know of is the Euro lens vs the USA lens.

"A few dollars" - I don't think that there is an aftermarket version of these seals and wow, are they expensive -60/100$ EACH. I'm going to replace mine anyway, because I've seen MB's rust right around this area.

I've got one that I'm willing to part with. You can reply here or send me a PM.

Miguel,

I'm not parting it out, but I do have several spare parts that I'd be willing to part with...steering wheel, tail lights, wheel center caps, etc. Rear carpet pieces in blue velour for a 450SL. Been aiming to put them up on eBay, but never seem to find time to set up an account. Let me know if you need something and I'll see what I have.

Thankyou

Thanks Guys,

For you replies, I managed to locate a second hand one a few days ago from a slc which looks like the goods. The good thing is it came with a useable seal also, and your right, they arn't cheap. It was however much better than getting a new one.

Thanks again

Damian
