WTB: W124 Euro's/BL.RED Tails - PeachParts Mercedes-Benz Forum

Im doing the complete lighting upgrade, if anyone has the W124 94-95 MY Red/(Clr/Blk) tails or any 124 Euro's they want to get rid of please let me know.

Sam, you can buy the Euros brand new for about $250 USD shipped from www.speed-autoteile.com .

New 94/95 USA tails are about $325/pair shipped, from various sources. It is pretty hard to find them used (or cheap!), unfortunately!

As for the tails, I was hoping to get some off ebay. There are often the Red/Blacks there for $95.00 Buy It Now.

Am I being naive as to the quality of these?

Good question about quality. The eBay setup is probably just lenses. I personally dislike the USA bulb holders, and prefer the Euro type - but that requires buying the full Euro tail assembly, not just the lenses. That's what Speed sells for ~$250/pair, the whole assembly, not just lenses (which would be a lot cheaper). Another neat thing is the Euros have no side marker bulb. The easy/cheap route is to get the aftermarket eBay stuff.

Here's a photo of the true Euro OE tails (not aftermarket). Note they aren't smoked, but also aren't clear/white like the stock USA ones either:

BT DT with the eBay aftermarket tails. The lenses cost me almost $100 a couple years ago, and they didn't fit too well - some of the studs/lugs were off, and they leaked water too. This probably doesn't apply to ALL those aftermarket tails, but it's something to be aware of.

here is a pic of one of the euro headlights....i have both for sale...i layered the inside with chrome tape so it gives it a chrome look...very hard mod but it really looks great!

i was going to get another w124 and put these back on cause they made the car look so hot...but i ended up getting a w210 e430 blk/blk so i'm on the hunt for new stuff to mod with...

as for pricing
please make me an offer

the smoked hellas were 390.00 new
they are in excellent condition

the headlights were 285.00 for the pair...
(chrome mod was the biggest pain in the ass but the end result was very "ooh aaah cool" evoking...my time and sweat for this mod, for you to enjoy with just a simple install on your w124)
these two are in excellent condition!!!

hey everyone,
i was holding on to this stuff in the possibility of getting another 300CE
but instead i went with a w210 e430....so i must get rid of all these wonderful w124 parts...
here is the inventory of w124 items i am selling:

1. pair of DEPO euro headlights w/bulbs which have been chrome treated to give the look of E500 lights...(thanks ashman for this awesome mod)

2. pair of HELLA smoked tails...these tails are hot!!! and i never got crap from the police cause they're spec and not sprayed smoked....factory smoked from HELLA....AND HELLA HARD TO FIND!!!

3. pair of Brabus IV 17's with Brand NEW KUMHO TIRES... 1 of the brabus wheels needs to be refinished...but both are in good condition...tires are brand new with barely 100 miles on each...

4. A full grill with insert and strips

5. an extra grill insert.

6. floor mats

7. alpine deck and disc changer (circa 1992)

8. rear trunk carpet mat

9. K&N Air filter NEVER OPENED FROM FACTORY SEALED BAG...

10. HOOD PAD

11. BRABUS CAPS (SET OF 4) WITH BRABUS LUGS AND WHEEL LOCK KIT

I was able to get my 94-95 tail light lenses for less than $75.00 per side.

You can get aftermarket ones, look and fit just like the oem, for around $110.00 per pair.

Ashman is right I got my aftermarket tails from a european company when I was in england for a few days about 5 years ago and they still look great! I believe they are MHW's and cost me about $80 for the pair.

Never was impressed with the smoke tails until mushedroom posted the pics of the 300CE Very Nice!
