Utility Trailer w/MB123 Hitch for sale: CT/NY
Perfect back to school special for anybody returning to college....
The Trailer has full size wheels, leaf springs and free axle. Its basically a 9x7 flatbed with roughly 4' walls on three sides and a removable tailgate. It looks alot like the old U-Haul open trailers before they went to being completely enclosed. I think the capacity is 1 1/2 tons. Walls and floor are reinforced 3/4" plywood in welded steel frames. Very solid chassis and leaf-spring suspension - superb for cross country use. The trailer comes equipped with brake & signal lights with standard plug connection. This is truly one helluva Trailer..... I have used it on different occasions to haul a Moto Guzzi motorcycle, an upright piano for my girlfriend, cords of firewood and have even carried pigs to market in the damned thing when we had it on the farm!! Raising the trailer's tongue off the ground lowers the rear gate practically to ground level. To get the bike on board, I just drove it onto the bed while an assistant levered up the trailer tongue. And the Trailer is perfect size and weight for one person to roll it around by hand for attaching/detaching to the car without too much difficulty. The Hitch is the standard ball type that bolts underneath the rear bumper on MB w123 cars with an arm that reaches underneath the spare tire compartment where it also attaches with bolts. It's got loops for trailer safety chains. This hitch can easily be installed on any w123 Benz and possibly others. The Trailer and Hitch will not be sold separately. Am looking to get $450 for the package. Sorry no pics because when I left the trailer behind it never occurred to me that I'd be selling it from 5 states away. johnbald1@hotmail.com Last edited by 300SDog; 08-30-2004 at 09:27 AM. |

Price reduction.... I need the cash for gravel to fill a driveway ditch that leads to my Ky home in the woods.
Trailer is now $300 or $375 with the hard-to-find w123 trailer hitch. You just arent gonna find a better utility trailer than this. johnbald1@hotmail.com cell: (270)670-9215 |
