16X8, 8 hole wheels for sale.

I have a set of 16x8 MB 8 hole wheels, they come with center caps, 16 lugs and 4 lockers. The tires are Continental ContiTouringContact CH95, they have only 4k miles on them and are 1 year old, there also in perfect condition. One of the rims has a little curb rash running along the lip, but there pretty close to perfect otherwise. I bought them for my SDL thinking they were 7.5in wide, but there 8in and don't fit. The PO said they were balanced nicely, I don't know I never used them. There off of a SL320. I'll post pic's tomarrow, I'm asking $750.

Do you know if these wheels will take the bigger lug bolts of a W140?

I didn't know the W140's had bigger bolts. The wheels are a smaller diamiter than the W140's standard size. I'll see if my friend has any spare bolts and I'll try this week.

If they came off a R129 SL, then they use the standard 12mm bolts. Offset should be 34mm and will fit 124.036 (500E500) perfectly.

??? W140s come with 16 x 7.5s.

The tires are 225/55 not 235/? the W140's came with. These are also 8in wide not 7.5. They came off of a R129. The bolt pattern is the same as my SDL's, they bolt right on but are just to wide.

Ah. 16x7.5s won't fit any better because they have a deeper offset than the 16x8s.

Actually 16x7.5's fit my SDL very well. I'm hopeing someone with an SL or E500 reads this, these rims and tires are really nice.

Really? I got a set of 96-up W140 wheels from a fellow who had them on a 560SEL. He said they rubbed. They came with 225/50s.

The 16X7.5 225/55's on my SDL now seem to fit perfect, no rubbing. There Milla Migla Bello wheels Tirerack sells.

$550 obo, come on no one needs a nice set of 8 hole wheels? You can get this entire set for what a new set of Continental ContiTouringContact tires will run you. Having a spare set of rims is really nice.
