FS: Eight-hole W202 polished alloy wheels (4)

For Sale:

One complete set of W202 (C-class) 15-inch wheels in very good / excellent condition. I cannot use them on my 124 E420, and want to move them out of a spare office. These polished OEM eight-hole alloy wheels were removed from a C230K with the sports suspension option after 1000 miles of use. Pictures of each wheel available upon request.

Specifications
************
7J x 15
pn: A 202 401 16 02
ET: 37mm

Fitment
*******
These are obviously known to fit 202 chassis vehicles, but may have other applications. Search the forums and make an informed decision based on what you find there.

NB: 1994-95 E320/E420 front brake calipers (25mm rotors) are too wide for these wheels.

Price
*****
Asking $400 USD includes UPS ground shipping to the lower 48 states. Send a private message for more details if interested.

Looking forward to your response,
-DM

FWIW, these wheels will work on some of the earlier 300E models - I jave them on my 87 shown in the pic below. The 36 offset gives a slightly wider track stance, and fills out the wheel well depth nicely. The effect is like the stock 8 hole later w124 wheels, but with a 'deep dish' look.

I have no financial interest in these wheels, just thought a pic on a w124 would help out. I also have some side views I can post if anyone is interested.

Thanks for the input, John. Pictures of the W202 wheels on a W124 owned by someone in this forum are what inspired me to buy these in the first place. Unfortunately I was not aware of the late-model W124 E320/E420 front brake clearance issue until after the deal was done.

I purchased these wheels last December from a gentleman in S. Virginia who had upgraded his C230K to larger wheels. The wheels are stacked in two boxes, taking up space in my server room / home office currently.

Next stop is eBay, so please drop me a line soon if anyone in ShopForum land is interested.

Best regards,
-DM

These look a lot like the wheels I bought for my 1991 300TE wagon.
They seemed to stick out a bit more than the stock 15 hole 15x6.5" wheels, maybe this was the extra half inch of width.
They did not rub at all with 205-60R15's.
The only thing was that the stock lugs don't come out all the way to the wheel surface.

I'm looking for some 8-holes, but preferred 16". But will yours fit on a 1992 300D? I assume the mighty diesel has the standard brakes on it..

I would "assume" that too... although I have no good source data to check this with.
Mine worked fine on the 300TE other than the crappy Goodyear Eagle LS 205-60R15's which are not great tires.
I could sell them and go to 16" inchers maybe... no immediate need to dump them though...

I believe this wheels will fit all W124 except for 94-95 E320, E420, possible the 93 300E 3.2 and of course all of the E500's

Our 95 E300D has the older brakes set up with floating calipers. The more powerful verisons have the newer brake setup, hence wider calipers.
