I sold my '84 300TD for parts and have the rear hatch to dispose of now. It was a replacement hatch from a FL car that had minimal rust (a couple of pinholes after I wire-brushed all the problem areas for treatment). ANY area that had rust was brushed, etched, and treated with POR-15. The rough areas and pinholed were Bondo'd and primed/wet sanded ad nauseum 'til a uniform finish was established. I then found a spray can blue that was close to my car's color and just used that for the final coat. It could use buffed out now, but it looks alright as-is (dk blue). Interior panel is shot (I threw it out) and latch mechanism isn't releasing properly, but I believe I have a spare. I also have a spare rear glass that has tint on it. All wiring and vacuum lines are intact (NOT cut!).

Hatch is in Charleston, IL. I'd prefer a pickup, as palleting and getting it to a shipping center isn't in the cards from me. Any reasonable offer accepted as it's just taking up room right now!
