Fuel Line Source

First time to this site; looks great.

I have a broken fuel line from the injection pump to the fourth injector, right at the injector. When the car is running with the hood open, it looks like the Bellajio (sp?) fountains in LasVegas.

Anyway, the car is an '87 300 six cylinder turbo-diesel. I need a source for purchasing a new fuel line (or lines if they come in a set). Any ideas for this part?

-Lance

Go to the top of this page, click on " FastLane" & see what you need.
If you don't see it listed, give Phil a call.

fuel line

Lance,
this is a common problem on the 60x series motors (if used on rough roads or bad motor mounts).
Phil and Rusty do not carry the lines, you have to order them from MB-USA (approx $45 per line, I kid you not).
However, the lines are basically a bubble flared line , I am fabricating a set for my wifes 190D (same basic setup, one less cyl) and should have them done tonight.
I can bend and flare a set for you tomorrow (parts cost ought to be approx $20 for a set of 6)

I'll update this message tomorrow

Throw in another set while you're at it, Naropa's car (190 2.2 auto) has leaks at the suspect area and they can pay for new tubes. I still haven't been able to look into getting new tubes bent yet, LMK if you want me to still do that (have two POS 7.3 PSD's in the driveway right now and three other diesels backed up to work on, so time's tight at this moment.)
