FS 300D 1984, one owner hit car, parts or restore...
Hi all
You can either part it out or restore it.... Alot of people say it is worth restoring. I dont have the time, this was my familys car for the last 21 years original owner. Clean in and out was in Fla for 18 years, no rust. Has H4 headlight, good tires and RIMS ( 5) . Before the accident everything great, including the air conditioning!! 159,407 original miles. Please look at the pics. New starter this year, fuel injector pump. Car is well maintained. oil chaged every 3k. interior could use a vaccum, but its clean and not abused or worn out. The car runs, but needs to be towed since the cooling system is offline. i rencely added the Wind deflector also. I am in Northern NJ. 500$ cash. I want this car to go to someone who will either restore her or use her parts to restore their car. you can reach me at bsohne@erols.com Ok just took some pics of the car. Someone gota have a home for this car. This is one of the BEST parts cars you can buy. The motor has 159,407 miles. My mom bought this car in 1984 and had it in Fla till about two years ago, no rust. The rear seats were not used until I started to use the car. This car has been well maintained. Motor is in great shape, interior is in nice condition. Has good tires Michelin Rain Force on MB Alloy rims. This car was in Mercedes enthusiast in the “Yankee Doddle Diesel” on the title page, Two-page spread. The front end damage took out the radiator, A/C condenser ( The AC worked great by the way)., fan). The car still runs but without a cooling system you wont get far. I put in a new starter this year, fuel injector pump. Sun Roof deflector ( that is not a rust spot on the roof its bird poop!! The headlights work ( Hella H4s ) . I am in Northern NJ. The motor and the rims and tires are worth it alone. Please let me know what you think. Thanks for all the support Bill bsohne@erols.com <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v116/armitageshanks/300D/DSCN2989.jpg"> <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v116/armitageshanks/300D/DSCN2988.jpg"> <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v116/armitageshanks/300D/DSCN2987.jpg"> <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v116/armitageshanks/300D/DSCN2986.jpg"> <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v116/armitageshanks/300D/DSCN2985.jpg"> <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v116/armitageshanks/300D/DSCN2984.jpg"> <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v116/armitageshanks/300D/DSCN2983.jpg"> <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v116/armitageshanks/300D/DSCN2982.jpg"> <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v116/armitageshanks/300D/DSCN2981.jpg"> <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v116/armitageshanks/300D/DSCN2980.jpg"> <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v116/armitageshanks/300D/DSCN2979.jpg"> <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v116/armitageshanks/300D/DSCN2978.jpg"> <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v116/armitageshanks/300D/DSCN2977.jpg"> <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v116/armitageshanks/300D/DSCN2976.jpg"> <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v116/armitageshanks/300D/DSCN2975.jpg"> <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v116/armitageshanks/300D/DSCN2973.jpg"> <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v116/armitageshanks/300D/DSCN2972.jpg"> <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v116/armitageshanks/300D/DSCN2971.jpg"> <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v116/armitageshanks/300D/DSCN2970.jpg"> <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v116/armitageshanks/300D/DSCN2969.jpg"> <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v116/armitageshanks/300D/DSCN2968.jpg"> <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v116/armitageshanks/300D/DSCN2967.jpg"> <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v116/armitageshanks/300D/DSCN2966.jpg"> <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v116/armitageshanks/300D/DSCN2965.jpg"> <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v116/armitageshanks/300D/DSCN2963.jpg"> <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v116/armitageshanks/300D/DSCN2962.jpg"> <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v116/armitageshanks/300D/DSCN2961.jpg"> Thanks again for looking Bill |

Hi John.
Sorry that it had to end this way. But as I said here is always someone who will be interested and all the people here are MB nuts. I'm sure since it went to Kamil it is in good hands. Louis. |

Thanks guys.... It's sitting in my driveway and we'll take a close look tomorrow to see if it will be worth repairing the car.

Kamil will be able to strip one of these cars in about 40 minutes if he keeps this up. I see a great future sideline developing, Kamil's chop shop.

I'm going to see how much it's going to cost me to repair the car. If it is not worth it then I'll definitely be stripping the car down to use it for parts. This car looks awesome by the way, paint is VERY NICE and the interior is in pretty good shape. I will definitely keep the engine to go into my soon to be MANUAL 240D. To tell you honestly, I would feel bad stripping a nice car like this..... I hope it will not be too costly to repair it otherwise I will have no choice but to use it for parts. Kamil

Hi Kamil.
I just saw the pictures and not in person but by what I saw the damage isn't to bad. I guess the radiator support will be the hardest to fix. Good luck with the car. Louis. |

there doesn't seem to be any damage to the engine or the wheel wells.... only the radiator support and bumper
