602 engine, bottom end
I have a MB 602 engine I have sold the intake, turbo, & ex. mf. but have all the bottom end. It would make a good spare parts engine if you have a use for it. I have have had it sitting in my shop and I have been doing some house cleaning and would like to see this get to someone that could get some use out of it. I have pictures if can Email, I haven,t been able to attach to this post. If you have some use for this make me a small offer to cover my time. You can Email me at ....... blane@wingsisp.com..... It would make a good Christmas presant for your wife.

Bruce,
what shape is this in ? Was it just the head cracking that caused it to be junked ?

602
I got the engine from a mechanic who replaced it with a running engine. He did not remember what model it was for sure he thaught it was a 190D. He had not disassembled the engine but new it had a major problem somewere. He was able to get another engine out of a wreck cheaper than the could work on this one.
I got it for the turbo parts. The cam shaft was broken in 3 places along with the cam bearing caps. The bottom end turns over freeley I can see light shinney spots in the carbon on 2 pistons where they touched the valves, but no marks into the piston. I do not believe it damaged the rods or pistions. |
