the first part of the AD says that they are 400E but then below it says "fits these models..." but it doesnt list 400E?

Um I think you can assume that they will indeed fit a 400E.

Well, if the parts were removed from a 1992 400E when it was upgraded to E500 Calipers, the old ones from the 400E will certainly fit any 400E (1992-1993) and E420 (1994-1995). But, that is not considered as an upgrade. Therfore, it is redundent listings the cars that already have these calipers. It would only contradict the statement of " Brake upgrade for W124 & W201 Chassis"

A bit pricey since the calipers are widely available on eBay for $180 (buy it now price) per pair.

I searched EBay including Closed Auctions and can't find any sold or selling for that price. Perhaps you can send me a link of an Auction.

Also, you can certanly make an offer, all I can say is "Yes" or "No"

Note that these are the thinner 295x22mm rotors used only on the 1992 models. 1993-up (and the E320's) got thicker 294x25mm rotors. The thicker rotors won't fit older 124's without additional mods, but I'm not sure about the thinner (22mm) versions. Depends on the depth of the rotor.
