Need W123 Oil Cooler

Hi all,
My oil leaks were coming back and I found that one of the oil cooler hoses was leaking at both ends of the rubber, to my surprise even while have a wrench stoutly on both sides I ended up ruining my oil cooler. Even after having the part in the vice it wouldn't break free, so it got the royal treatment instead. Got out the oxy- acty torch and warmed it until it glowed and it changed its mind, but the damage was already done. So I could really use a "new" oil cooler for my 83 Turbo 300D.

Thanks,

High (on DIESEL fumes) from Adairsville, Georgia.
I recently aquired two (2) NON turbo oil coolers with some used engines me and Rock Star got. They are a little narrower than the turbo unit but will fit just fine. Unless you live in the desert it will function just fine also. It will also be an inexpensive alternative to a NEW turbo unit. MB is proud of the new ones. I can let you have the used one at $100.00 with free shipping in the lower 48 if you PayPal me. Call me and we will set it up, even if it just to have a working spare while you search for the elusive New part. My cell is 770-833-3833. I have lots of parts for these because I like to keep a project or two going for dependable daily drivers. Thanks, Chris Fett.

Thanks for the offer Chris, but I'd rather wait to find the right one for it.

oil cooler

Hi from Marietta, Georgia down the street from the "Tall Rooster". I did a quick inventory of my junk piles this morning. I think I may still have a couple of Turbo oil coolers. I forgot about some of the piles. They are not new but may have good threads. I will check it out and get back to you. Thanks, Chris Fett.
