FS 1970 280se 3.5 engine & Transmission
 

I have a complete engine and transmission for sale from my 280 se 3.5 coupe. It has 105,000 km and is in good running condition. I changed over to a 500sel engine and trans. Everything is there on a Pallet ready to go. Located in NE Pennsylvania. Thanks Clark LaBelle

I have a 1970 280 se 3.5 and I swaped a US 500sel engine and trans. Lots of work but the out come is great very fast smooth and silent. Changed diff from a 3.69 to a 3.27. Under the hood all looks the same I am still in need of an Alum air cleaner from either a 380 500 or 560 SL. Need snorkel on drivers side so it does not interfear with Battery. I had to change oil pan to clear cross member and make new linkage for accelarator and transfer wiring harness from 500. Also had to install mech speedometer in the 500 trans.
