WTB W126 Hood Hinge & R4 a/c compressor

what a day! at my indys having my a/c vacuumed and recharged w/ my R12, my drivers side hood hinge went pop and slamed aginst my windshield! lucky it did not break!!! turns out the big plastic bolt that brakes the hood broke in half! my indy says he has never seen this before! now i need a drivers hinge. $230.00 new!! I do not want to take the one off my parts car if possible. (BTW what a PITA, remove inside fender cover, vacuum tank, hood spring)

also after a week of diss, flush, new exp valve, r/d o-rings, minereal oil and reassemble with HFC nylog (did not leak!!! yea!!!LOL). would not get cool after 1.65 lbs of r12, sight glass was clear, low side gauge kept flunctuating (jumping around) at 60 psi, high side would never get over 150 psi, aux fan would not turn on but would jump. tech said need compressor, this is reason for jumpy gauge (i could hand turn the one off my parts car) he said a good compressor you can not turn by hand! discharged 1.65 lbs to his reclaimer, lost that $100+ worth of r12. @##$%%^^()_()___@#$#$# I am pissed and really hating cars at this point. I did a lot of work and alot of study via my man larry bible on my a/c rebuild. sorry for the rant and venting. need compressor (rebuilt behr $165, new 4 season $230), I have been through the Harrison, Apco Air crap already.

anyone with a good deal on a drivers side hood hinge and r4 compressor that works?

I Want a Dozen

I will take 12 working R4 compressors at 15 apiece....It costs at least 15-20 to ship one...it take a couple hours to pull the fenders to get the hood hinges off...Jim
