Euro/European headlight wiper set for w126
Perfect for those who have put on Euro head lights. The US ones look off on euro headlights plus these euro ones are much sleeker looking than the US version.
I managed to pick up 2 sets of euro headlight wipers for w126's in Germany. One set is for me... as I will be doing the conversion for my newly aquired 560. The other will be offered for sale. Here's what the set I am selling consists of: 1) Right and Left headlight wiper motors.(pricey items, rare to find in US) 2) Brackets for left and right wiper motors 3) valences (US and Euro valences are different, the holes where the motors' stalk goes through is not lined up with US ones) 4) wiper arms( 2nd generation ones, these are the thicker ones that have built-in nozzles. Where found on 1986-1991 Euro w126's) 5) wiper arm blades.. but they're shot. I believe you can use the US ones, or go to the dealership to pick up a new set for like $7? a piece. Basically, this set is what you need to do a full conversion. The Euro wiper motors work in the opposite direction of the US ones and covers a larger area during swipes. I brought these 2 sets with me back to Poland where I am currently. I will be back state-side at the end of June. I will be having the wiper arms and valences repainted and cleaned to look like new. If you are interested, I can try to get these painted at the color of your choice. I will be entertaining offers for this set via PM or email.. remember, its the entire set plus cost of getting the items painted. Don't low-ball.. as I had to look at several places plus pay in Euro(don't forget the US$ to Euro currency rate). Shipping from Poland is not economical and I don't recommend it unless you REALLY want it soon. I will try to bring this back home and ship it from the US. I've recieved some interests and several repeating questions. Yes they will fit all w126's including SEC's, however... the valence plate is different. I don't know if the US and Euro valences on SEC's are the same. However, everything else is. Its a simple mod to do and it will actually do what it was intended to do unlike the US wipers on the Euro headlight lamps. I can provide a link to an excellent site that shows you the procedures on doing so.
Regarding price, throw me a fair price offer or possible trade for something that might interest me or I could use it as a partial trade/$ for a 2 or 3-piece AMG SL rims set from early 90's. |
