WTB 123 Coupe Rear Side Window Rubber

Like the subject says, I'm looking for good used rear side window "squeegee" rubber (both sides) for a late 123 coupe. Please let me know if you can help. Since I don't want to make mine any worse, I haven't seen if it's a PITA to replace them. Anyone out there with knowledge of this procedure, that's willing to share their insight?

Junk yard if you are lucky or the dealer; around $300 for the pair.

$300 for the pair. Maybe that's why I'm looking for good used ones.

Rubbers

Do your rubbers have clips on them that the trim pops into??? Can you measure the length of one of them??? Are you looking for both the inside and the outside rubbers??? If so measure both the inside and the outside, maybe they are the same length... Jim

Jim,

I've only pulled the front portion of the trim out away from the body to have a look, but it seems clear that the trim pops into a clip that's mounted to the body - there is no clip anywhere to be seen on the rubber (could be one hiding at the very back - can't tell without removing everything, and I'm uncertain just how entailed this is and am unwilling to find out without clear instructions and/or until I have my hands on a new set of rubbers).

I failed to measure it, but it's pretty much the same length as a 123 coupe's rear window, except that it is a little longer toward the front of the car and is large enough that its front-end extends down the door jam (behind the chrome jam trim plate) for a couple of inches. It is completely different from the inside rubber.

Thanks for asking.

Norm

Are you talking about the window scrapers at the base of the door or are you referring to the whole seal running around the window in the chrome frame? The window scrappers are held on with clips that are very stubborn to get out. If its the seal running around the entire window it sits in a channel and can be pried out easily.

Das,

I'm referring to the "squeegee"-type scraper at the base of the rear, side window - nothing to do with the door.

Thanks

Same as the door scrapers. Thet are held on with clips that don't like to let go! Gotta get under them and pry very carefully up to get them out. Next thing is where to replacements????
