1983 300D "parts" car

I'm selling the old girl for parts....I've recently purchased a CTD and dont need it around anymore....for the particulars..newer transmission with around 100K on it, car itself has 320k. Interior is very solid. Engine runs good, tires arent so good, rear brakes dont work but are there. (air in line due to a leaky line) cooling system is solid, has good rear springs and sway bar bushings, decent looking bundt cake rims. The sunroof motor is stripped but all of the window motors do work. Cruise doesnt work, neither do power door locks. Tachometer is intermittent, and the speedo doesnt currently work. The newer transmission I swapped in has an electronic pickup instead of a mechanical. I'll throw in the old transmission with the deal too if you are intrested in swapping to make the speedo work. Climate control doesnt work either, but the blower motor works great. Glow plugs are also good, it has never not started for me and I drove it all last winter. It consumes some some oil, mostly dripping out of the turbo drain tube. Only 1 fog light works also.
I've had this car for about 4-5 months and would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. It's pretty rusty (see pics) but still goes down the road. Last fillup I averaged 24MPG.

I'm kinda firm on the price, I think $500 is very fair for what is there. For someone trying to keep one on the road you know how much the replacement parts are!

I can also get more..PM or call and I can get some detailed pictures.. the EGT is going in my cummins so it wont come with that. I will throw in a zebrono ashtray cover though to replace the one my EGT was in.
