WTB 126 Euro Lights/Wheel upgrade
Good used preferred. I'm too cheap to buy new stuff unless that's my only option.

Still looking. Hoping someone returns from the Christmas holiday and finds this. I'm looking to upgrade to 17's, seeking Euro lights and lowering springs.

I come upon them from time to time, keep an eye out as the next set I plan to sell off... not keep.

Just my opinion but don't get sucked into 17" wheels and lowering springs on a W126. The car is a "luxobus", not a street racer. I put 16" 8-hole wheels (from The Tire Rack) on the car with Bilstein HD shocks. It rides great if a little stiff and handles as well as can be expected of this big, heavy car.
The Euro lights are great. Stock (US version) suck ass. Get the clear plastic sheeting to protect them, however.

Real world
I am sure those 17' Lorinsers are gorgeous but they are not "real world" where all live and drive. The 16" wheels took a 55mm profile tire which I consider the outside minimum for city driving so as to not bend wheels. This is especially true for a heavy beast like a W126.
As you may note my other car is a W201 190 16V. There is NO WAY the W126 can measure up in tossability so why try? I know more about lowering these cars than many, having turned a W124 E420 into an E500 from a handling perspective. If you want your ride height reduced, ask Phil to get you the European-spec [I]SportLine[I] springs with the single bump spring pads.
