123 Heated Leather Seats

Any Pre-Bay interest? 123 Heated Leather front seat pair, Crème Beige, #155 is the color code I think. Includes head and arm rests, electrical harness, relays, switches, and shifter surround with heater switch cut-outs.

Seats are six pleats, in very nice condition very little wear, a few creases in the leather but no cracks, springs are all unbroken. there is one small tear on the drivers seat inboard side of the seat bolster about 1 inch long, this is down along the center console so it really can't be seen when the seat is installed. Seat backs have a small number of minor scrapes, net frames are unbroken. Plastic hinge covers and outside side trim is good, drivers seat inboard plastic is partial, and again the missing part is along the console.

Head rests are very nice but with some cracks in the piping, arm rest is good with some scratches in the coloring on the top surface.

The entire wiring harness is in excellent shape no damage whatsoever, the relays are there and look fine but I haven't tested them in use, same with the switches.

The shifter console is actually pretty nice, a couple of cracks between the switch holes and a few scrapes but all the finish is there and it’s better than many you see. All the plastic around the shifter is unbeken as is the securing peg underneath. It is complete and unbroken so its perfect for refinishing

These seats are all-in-all in good to very good condition, the coloring is nice because being light it should easily take any color dye to match your interior. So if your looking for just some nice heated seats or your looking for some heated leather that you can customize to your liking these are a very nice pair.

I could separate the seat bottoms and backs for shipping, and could remove the rails to save weight if you wanted to use yours instead. Total shipped weight of about 80-100 pounds in two boxes. Or local pick up in SE Mass.

To answer an inquiry, yes I could also strip the heated leather off the seats and ship just that if someone was inclined to go the route of just using these skins on their own seat frames and pads.

If your interested please PM, I've got some fairly decent low res pics if you ask, thanks.

Electric Adjustable?

Gene2, I assume that you mean electrically adjustable seats? I honestly have never seen electric seats in a 123, but I suppose that it could have been a factory option. I suspect that some time, somewhere, someone wanted electric adjustable seats in a 123 and for the right price the folks in Stuttgart accommodated that desire, but if it did it was rare. If there ever was such an option and you could find an installation somewhere, you could probably collect all the pieces, the electric adjustable seat frames/motors, the wiring harness, the adjustment switches, and the door panel with a cut-out for the seat switch and install that setup under your own 123 seats. Assuming that the design philosophy is standard MB modular, like the 124/126/201 chassis, the seat rails might simply unbolt and you could bolt in electric power rails the same as the other chassis's do.
These seats actually came out of an 85 300TD and are OEM Mercedes seats with Mercedes heaters and controls. Thanks for asking.

Yes, heated seats was an option. Never seen one in the US but the factory literature claims it was available here. How much are you asking?

Mine has heated leather...

According to the build sheet, my black 300CD has black leather seats, with seat heaters. And rear headrests, too. Forget the option code but it's on the sheet.

If your asking me, Jim!

The seats are most definitely leather, I actually pulled the seat backs off while the seats where still in the car to get to the material's edge to have a look and be certain. The only reason I even bothered to get them is that they where in excellent shape, had heaters and where leather. Its the only heated 123 seats I've ever seen, I have never seen or heard of heated MB Tex, I see lots of 126, quite a few 124, and a couple of 201 heated seats. As a matter of fact I recently pulled a pair of Palomino colored electrically adjustable leather seats for my own 201 project that are not only heated but also are equipped with multi-zone orthopedic pneumatic lumbar supports! I was also able to get the special door lock pump that has an additional pressure outlet to provide inflation for the lumbar bladders. So eventually, I'll be riding high!! Well thanks for asking, if you did.
