Wanted to buy, 107 windshield fluid bottle.
I only need the vessel, not the pump etc.

There is a 500SL in the yards here I'll check it tommorrow, and post later if it does have a bottle.

Mine had a crack in it and I used something called "Plastic Weld" to fix it. Since it's not under pressure, unless you have a huge hole in it, just fix the one you have.
I remember the price being well over $100 when I looked.. way too expensive! The plastic weld is made by the same company that makes the two-part epoxy in a tube (the one with two tubes "attached together" so they mix when you use it). The tube looks the same, just a different type of glue inside. Mix some up and plug away. Use a spare piece of plastic as a plug if you have a hole. Make sure the bottle is CLEAN and absolutely DRY before you try this. You might want to file away a bit of the good plastic so the edge is rough and you are sure it is clean. Neal |
Thanks Neal
I'll give it a try as soon as I find the plastic cement.
Many thanks.. |
Looks similar to this:
http://superglue.supergluecorp.com/15277.html Although I think the one I saw was called "Plastic Weld" or something. Pep Boys will certainly have it. Glad to have helped. Had a 560SL.. those R107's really turn heads when you drive by! Neal |
