Gas Cap

Last fall, just as I was prepping the car for winter storage, I filled the tank with gas and went to tighten the gas cap. Unfortunately, the cap just would not screw back into place. Despite all my efforts, I was not able to tighten it back up. So, I placed the car in storage with the gas cap on askew. Obviously, not air tight.

With spring approaching, I was wondering has anyone had difficulty with their gas caps? Do these things wear out?

I went searching for a replacement cap, but couldn't find one online.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.
