Need a York Compressor for parts.
I'm looking for a York Compressor (actually, just the top plate with the line fittings) for my daughter's 78 240D. Anyone have a core with good fittings they'd be willing to part with?

I think this is the part, 123 180 00 39. The casting says 2303921212 BEHR. This part is NOS and yours for $20 delivered.

Nope, mine has the threads exiting straight up from the top and is shaped differently.

Took some pictures of mine which was shot. I had another compressor, but the heads were different. Her head striped the threads when removing the line.
Here's a picture of how it looks on the car (with lines removed)... Here's a picture of the part I need (notice stripped threads on suction side)... Here's a picture of the part number. It's hard to make it out, but it reads: G 12 12-5515

Here is mine from a 1978 300D parts car. It reads T-1 12-5515 I wonder if the the letter denotes a casting or a date code...
Let me know if you still need it.

Old thread so I'm guessing you are really searching for parts.
The York ( Tecumseh ) compressor was common on 70's / early 80's Ford and aftermarket AC systems. It is also super popular on industrial equipment. There are bound to be aftermarket parts you can make work. |
