F/S 190/124 brake upgrade kit
I've upgraded my 190 brakes to a four piston setup front and rear so the old 500E setup is now for sale.
This package includes front 500E four piston calipers, rear two piston calipers, ATE 'nuclear' slotted and cryoed rotors with slotted, cryoed and vented rear rotors. Also have the SS brake lines front and rear and two boxes of Rofren brake pads. These are all the parts needed to convert your car to STOP now!! Replacement of the master cylinder is not required for this conversion and to prove it, I'm still using my OE one with four piston calipers all around on my track car....no problem. More info...
The front setup was purchased first as the rear parts were harder to locate.
The parts were off of two different cars and are the better iron calipers. Mileage is hard to determine as I don't have a speedo to use with the Tremec tranny in the car and is not street driven. As I went to 255/275-40-17" tires the larger tire OD creates the situation where more brake torque is needed to stop, especially with such a large footprint! Going 140+ doesn't help either!! tobias, 500Es had brembo or ate calipers are 300 mm rotors in front, or the later model cars got the 600Sl front brakes at 320 mm.

These are the brake sizes
The fronts are not 500E but 400E, my mistake...
The front rotors measure 294mm X 25mm (.984") and mine are now .972". The rear rotors are 278mm X 24mm (.945") mine being .935". Also included is a NIB set of front Rofren pads and rear NIB, EBC/green pads. The package also includes the four piston front CI calipers and two piston rear calipers , all with SS lines. The rotors are slotted and cryo treated for HD and track use....they wear great! I also have a pair of 500E front calipers for sale, not in this deal. TobiasMB 190/5.8 |
