SD 3.07 diff

Anybody need the 3.07 diff from the SD? It does have a touch of pinion whine at exactly road load, but, I offer it for $20.00 before it takes a trip to the scrapper........which I'm loathe to do..........

Shipping should be about $40.00 or so with Fedex ground.

Did you install a 2.47 rear end Brian? I purshased one off of ebay but it was for the later years 300SD and I don't think it will work with the '84. I was not planning on changing it till I have to change the axles out.

I had purchased the 2.88 and installed it when I did the "complete underhood overhaul".

Then, since I found a 2.47 at a great price, I purchased it, subsequent to the installation of the 2.88. The SD struggles up grades at 65 mph with the 2.88, so, I doubt that I'll put the 2.47 in it. The 2.88 is a perfect compromise when I've got grades to climb and speeds that remain below 70 mph. The SD got 29 mpg on the last tank.......I'm very pleased with it.

You must have found a 2.47 for a 1986 or later gasser. They definitely don't fit the older SD's. Probably fit my SDL's however.
