FS: 240D aluminum "steel" wheels with tires

I have four 14x5.5 aluminum wheels (look like steelies) with decent but flatspotted Gislaved snow tires that are looking for a good home. These very lightweight wheels were originally fitted to US-spec 240Ds.

Will sell for $40 or best offer, picked up in Hanover NH or vicinity.

Regards,

Ted

If you'd like I could ship them -- FedEx Ground is not too bad -- question is, take off the tires and box the wheels or just tape them together in pairs and stick labels on them?

If you're interested, PM me and I'll get a quote.

I ship wheels by leaving the tires on the rims and binding 2 together with 24" zip ties. Keeping the tires on the rims benefits me several ways: No need to dismount and dispose $$, no need to look for a box to fit, and the old tires PROTECT the rims while in transit.

I just tape them together nice & snug (though zip ties is a good idea), and if they're nice rims, I'll put a round piece of cardboard over the end of each to protect them. I also cut a "handle" in the cardboard (near the edge of the rim so's not to put all the weight of the package on the cardboard alone) for the delivery guy.

Finally, I have found that DHL is significantly cheaper than UPS for rims and tires.

Yes, they sure are, although I'll be leaving town Saturday afternoon so we'll have to work something out before them. Otherwise I could tell you (offline) where they are and you could pick them up yourself.

Regards,

Ted
