Anybody have a source for sun visors that doesn't require a second mortgage ?

I frequently see sun visors for other MBs on ebay for less than $100 each, but never any for the 129 SL

Actually I'm only having problems with the vanity mirror doors. Can the mirror assembly alone be replaced ?

tan covers on a grey car?
 
i just got a 99 sl500 amg sport and the interior is grey [ash] yet the vanity mirror covers are tan? WTF?

Can these be replaced?

strange- why tan when interior all grey
 
why are the visor lids tan when the whole interior is grey?

even the ones on ebay are the same:

I would like to know where I can get just the Light Bulb Cover for my 2000 SL500 driver side sun visor.

If that is not possible please give me your thoughts with a p/n and price and contact. My interior is Black.

I guess you already tried to get the light cover from Mercedes right ?

If they won't sell it alone, you could buy any comparable visor from ebay and just scavenge the cover.

I saw those Grey and Tan ones on ebay. I assumed the mirrors were transplanted from another car, (which gave me hope) but I guess I was wrong. :dizzy2:


Does anybody know if the mirror/lights/door assembly can be removed from a visor ???
