Anyone Need a SD Parts Car?

One of my old girls is being laid to rest.

The SD I drove for years before selling to a good friend took one from behind from an F-150. From what he says it's not too bad, but his insurance company will total it. I'll post pics when he sends them to me, but he say the damage is concentrated in the left rear quarter panel with one dent in the bumper. Taillight didn't even crack & trunk lid is fine.

Otherwise she's a healthy happy 1983 300SD, Black on Tan leather, 234k mi. She had 150k miles when I sold her to him less than three yrs ago. He made quite a few trips to Miami & back tp Philly visiting what is now his wife, so it's a lot of mostly highway miles. The front seats are a bit worn, but the interior is otherwise pretty nice. The rest of the body is clean. This car has been well taken care of and has quite a few records, including an new evap core about two yrs ago & many other parts (sorry list isn't in front of me).

Contact me for more info on the car.

LOCATION: She's outside of Philly in Wyomissing PA.

Price will likely be B/O.

And there is a slight chance we might need the grille/front cross bar (where the hood latches)/rad/aux fans/headlights as I just got word another of our girls took one on the nose recently.

But for now let's talk about getting rid of the whole car, as is. If no one wants her whole, I might do that & part out the rest, but we'll start a new post for that.

REPEAT: I AM NOT PARTING OUT THE CAR AT THIS TIME. LOOK FOR A NEW THREAD IF IT COMES TO THAT.

Thanks!

Oh, And she is COMPLETELY OPERATIONAL & could be driven anywherere. Just FYI.

I am interested. Can it make it to Northern NJ you think? How much are you looking to get?

Sorry about the lack of a price guys. I hate ads w/o a price too

I'm still waiting on pics, so all I have at this time is a description that doesn't totally make sense. Which makes it rather hard to assess what she's worth while I'm not sure if she's an easy rebuild or just a parts car.

I thought I'd have had pics by now...

You'll get them when I get them. And a price at that time.

Thanks!

OK guys.

Sorry for the delays. But this is what I know now:

New parts on the car in the last year include but are not limited to:
Radiator
Aux Fan
Motor Mounts w/ New Brackets
Engine Shocks
Oil Cooler Lines
Tie Rod Bushings
Some Front Suspension/Steering work... Can't remember what he said...
Hood Release Cable & some related parts
And more. Lots of records.
And the full Evap Core Etc 2yrs ago.
There are a new set of Bilsteins, but I don't know if they made it into the car yet...

The pics I have now are terrible. They are from the insurance company, but I am going up there personally on Sunday to get better ones. But over-all the car is in very nice shape. Engine is strong & hearty. We tried to keep them from striking the title, but, as the other guy was at fault there was nothing we could do.

So it will have a salvage title.

But it is completely drivable!! Drive it anywhere!

The pics are below. The car is filthy & the paint is better than it looks in these. Like I said real pics coming Sunday Evening as soon as I can get to the car. Let me know if there's anything in particular you'd like to see.

As you can see the trunk still lines up ok. The right side of the bumper bent out a bit. The left fender looks like it absorbed most of the force, even though it was bumper to bumper. Physics....

He's looking to get $1200 for it.

Anyone who wants to come see it Wyomissing PA on Sunday is welcome.
