Sorting through a pile of stuff today, I came on a tire that was the spare tire on either my 83 USA 240d or 82 Euro 300d. It's a conventional steel wheel, with a Michelin 175R14 Xp, not Pathfinder tread, but the modified Pathfinder (zX?) that came afterwards. It has a very conspicuous ridge around the tire where the white wall would be, sticks out about 5/16".
I have a dim memory that this might have been the type of tires that these cars had originally? I'm not going to use it. Is this of interest to someone who's trying to get one of these cars authentic?
Tire is in Maine. Price? Dunno.
