ARE YOU CERTAIN THOSE WILL FIT ALL YEARS ?
I BELIEVE THE DISTANCE BETWEEN THE BARS THAT RUN FORE AND AFT DIFFER FROM THE EARLY TO LATE WAGONS. ONE OF MINE IS OUT OF THE STABLE RIGHT NOW SO I CAN'T QUICKLY VERIFY THAT BUT I DID FIND THIS OUT AT SOME POINT IN THE PAST WHEN I LASHED SOMETHING DOWN ON THE ROOFTOP CARRIER ON ONE OF MY 300TD'S . PS. I BELIEVE '79 WAS THE FIRST YEAR FOR THE 300TD. WHERE DID YOU READ '78 WAS A YEAR THEY MADE THE 300TD? (sorry about the shouting I started out that way and was too lazy to change caps button)

Ahh, you are correct. It is 1979. I had a typo in the listing.
They fit on my 1979 300TD as well as my 1984 and 1985 300TDs. They may have made changes through the years but my cars were consistent. It is possible that someone replaced the rack on my 1979 before I bought it. If someone wants to measure their 1979 300TD, I'll measure my 84 and 85 (my 79 is gone now). -Tad
