FS: Alpine CDA-9815 radio

Time to sell my beloved Alpine CDA-9815 radio head unit. I bought it brand new from Circuit City last year, installed it, and it has worked perfectly fine since that day. If you know anything about car radios you know Alpine is considered a quality manufacturer. FWIW I've still got an older Alpine radio about 15 years old that still works installed in my parents' 300D. For Christmas I got a h/u with a screen so the CDA-9815 was sadly removed. You can read all about this radio at Crutchfield: http://tinyurl.com/ym5rn6 .

Here's the feature listing in case the link doens't work:

# detachable, fold-down face
# 2-line color display with spectrum analyzer
# blue button illumination
# plays CDs, CD-Rs, and CD-RWs
# plays MP3 and Windows Media (WMA) files
# displays MP3 text
# CD Text with scroll
# 0-bit mute (mutes output when no audio signal is detected)
# MaxTune SQ tuner
# 12 FM/6 AM presets
# station title memory
# V-Drive hybrid MOSFET60 internal amp — high-current draw requires direct fused connection to your battery
# Bass Engine Pro (5-band parametric EQ, 6-channel digital time correction, 6-position crossover with variable slope, plus subwoofer phase and level controls)
# Media Xpander
# i-Personalize — create customized Bass Engine setups and text greetings
# XM Satellite Radio controls (XM Radio subscription, tuner, antenna required to receive the satellite radio signal.) — service is available only in the lower 48 states, not available in Alaska, Hawaii, or U.S. territories
# CD changer controls for Alpine Ai-NET changers only
# optional auxiliary input
# 4-volt front, rear, and subwoofer preamp outputs
# wireless remote
# clock
# 27 watts RMS/60 peak x 4 channels
# CD frequency response 5-20,000 Hz
# CD signal-to-noise ratio 105 dB
# FM sensitivity 9.3 dBf

This is still considered a high-end radio with features that help give you such a great sound in any vehicle. I remember paying around $480 for this radio and it was worth it. The radio works 100% fine and is in excellent condition. All buttons on radio and remote control work perfectly fine and have all their labels intact, display works 100% and has no scratches. $300 gets you the radio, remote, user manual, auxilliary audio interface(to attach Ipod or any other audio device), connections harness, and UPS ground shipping, CONUS only. Because of getting screwed over via Paypal I will only accept money order or personal check. Please respond by PM or email. Thanks.

Still got the radio? If so, did u have to run a larger wire to the radio b/c of the increased output?

still work good? Any scratches or anything?

How's navigating the unwholy amount of menus?

Tks alot

Hey Nate. I ran it off the existing radio wiring. Yes, the radio works perfectly fine when I pulled it from the car. No scratches on the display, which works fine too. The navigation isn't bad at all. Like anything else, once you get used to it it's fine. I set it up when I first installed it and that sounded good so I never had to putz with the settings after that. It really is a very good headunit. Thanks.

Well then, that's good...
It says it has a motorized faceplate, so, it flips down? Can u take it off? Does it have a case?

As soon as my tax refund comes in (2-3 weeks), I'll buy it for $200+shipping. Srry for the lowball, but, used (COMPLICATED) headunits kinda scare me. I'm sure it's a great one though...

Yes, the face actualy can be moved to about 3 or 4 positions, IIRC, and can be totally removed. The radio's going on Ebay. Thanks.
