I went to the yard today to start pickin apart a 240D, 300D and the 300TD.........I ran out of room in the Benz before I ran out of parts to get . Life Is Good . I will be going back next week for the rest. If anyone wants or needs anything from these cars, let me know

Wagons have a fairly flat fuel tank compared to sedans, and when the fuel expands I guess it needs some place to go, so there is an aux. tank in front of spare tire behind carpet panel. Mine is plastic and cracked in 3 places. JB Weld is holding, but I've heard from many that it won't last. Somebody told me the older wagons [79, 80] or so, have metal tanks.
It is about the size of a Mrs. Smith's fat apple pie [pie metaphor due to agonizing diet...... ]
"Henna" interior is kind of a tobacco-type. Brown with tints of redness to it.

Hmm I have an 84 Euro 300TD - DIRTY broken light Palomino interior (not the orangey but more beige) Need visors, rear hatch trim plastic. The ring around the ignition, any crank window handles, the REAL seat belts and assymbly to the third row seat, wee chrome ring around the push to lock pole and visors if not soaked.. but I am not sure if you hatch will match years.

I need a rear hatch! The whole friggin thing!
Here's why...
First road trip observations...
Got rear ended...anyway, the body shop is looking for the rear hatch, bumper (original is a euro, but i don't care, if an american spec will fit, that works for me), and the left tail light assembly. Also, that metal strip on the floor of the rear cargo area where the rear hatch seals against the floor is all bent up at one end.
If you have access to these parts can I give you my mechanic's number? You can probably name your price...make it worth your while.

PS...I'm from New Orleans, but don't live there anymore...if you can't haul off the rear hatch and bumper, etc., I have family in NOLA that can...could you give me the location of the cars if that's the case?
