My father-in-law has several of these, too, but he wants to know what is wrong with yours.

mine was bad too. you can get the mast from ebay. my mast was stuck but i forced it open a few times and waxed it after a good dose of oil and multiple ins and outs. mine also had the little timing belt broken. you can get a new one of these from stock drive products. i think the belt was less than $10 to my door.
