Ronals w/new tires for w123 (NorCal)

Greetings all. I'm selling a complete set of four Ronal R-9 wheels with nearly new tires. I restored these myself and used them on my w123 wagon until I sold it about a year ago. I kept the wheels in hopes of buying another Benz to run them on, but it doesn't look like that's gonna happen now, and I want to clean out my garage.

This is a really unique set of original wheels. In my opinion, they provide the ideal look for a vintage Benz:

Front pair: Ronal R-9 16x7 five-spoke wheels with black centers; tires are 215/55 Sumitomo Srixon4 (a high-performance, all-season tire)
Rear pair: Ronal R-9 16x8 five-spoke wheels with black centers; tires 235/55 (same type)

Yes, that's right: The rears are 1" wider than the fronts, but the fit on my wagon was absolutely perfect, with no rubbing or interference of any kind. Here are some pix:

The tires have less than 5,000 miles on them and still look new. The wheels are hardly concourse shape, but they have an authentic vintage look and could be much nicer if you're willing to spend the elbow grease. One wheel has the original black paint rubbed through in spots on one of the spokes (see closeup), revealing primer or white paint underneath.

This set should fit any w123 car and may fit many a w126 as well (but confirming that is up to you). The package gives a smooth, quiet ride and much improved handling over stock.

I want $650 firm for the set. Includes a mismatched set of center caps that you can repaint yourself and a box of used OEM lugnuts.

Located in Sacramento, Calif. Will not ship.

Send me a PM if you're interested! Thanks! :D

Please advise what the ET number is on the back of the wheels. Also, is it the same for both widths?

Thanks,

I'll get the ET numbers for you tomorrow. Sorry I didn't include that initially. I do know they are different between the front and rear pair, but that's because the widths are different, too.

Hi,

The ET numbers are as follows:

Front: ET23
Rear: ET11

Thanks for your interest!

What is shipping to 98226?

Edit, just read the part about shipping. :(

That is the ultimate wheel/tire setup for the W123. I had 16" x 8" R9s all the way around my wagon and the 8s were too wide in the front. Now I have 15" x 7" AMG Pentas and the 7" is a little narrow in the rear. Oh well. $650 is a fair price too.

No, I don't, sorry. Got rid of all that when I sold the car.

i am interested, and could only pull the trigger after march 16th (will have decided by then if i will stay with my current job, causes a money issue with the wife) and if you were to ship it to 72032. any rough guess on what shipping would be?

thanks,

dan

Hi Dan. Sorry it took me so long to reply.

I initially said that I would not ship these. But seeing as how nobody in California seems interested (which amazes me), I will now consider shipping them. It won't be cheap, though, since we're talking about a lot of weight. But let me get an exact weight on the set and I'll get back to you with a rough estimate.

Thanks!

i am interested, but i cant commit to them until after march 16th. i am currently in training and need to pass several rigorous tests until i will have job security (well a job overall). so until i pass my last exam and presentation, i can not commit to these tires. and once i make it (crossing my fingers) then i need to convince my wife (should be easy).

so please let me know how much it would be to ship.

thanks,

dan

Well, I can't seem to make the rate calculators work on the shipping company websites. I must be slow -- or maybe I've just been at work too long today.

But anyway, here's the basic info for anyone who wants to figure a shipping estimate for themselves.

Shipping from: ZIP 95817
Weight and dimensions per tire/wheel: 26x10", 44 pounds.

And also, I'll now take $600 for the set of four.
