Are there any cracks in either the taillights or headlights?

The headlight doors and the right tail light have hairline stress cracks in them.

Do the engine and tranny still work?
Manual or automatic?

The auto tranny is being used for another project of mine, At first blush the engine seems ok, it has been dormant for 9 years. The story I was given and forensics show that the brakes went and the calipers were removed and then they just gave up on it. The motor has 184,000? miles on it. 616.910

I also have a 616.912 from a '78 240D said to be pulled from a wrecked car with 175,000 miles on it, it has been dormant for ~5 years.

I am looking for the rail that runs under the radiator and supports the bumper brackets at either end. The part is spot welded (I think with tabs) and so would have to be removed somewhat carefully. Do you think it is a possibility and if so how much for the part? Also what is the interior like?
Thanks,
Mike,
Austin TX.

I'll check out the lower rad support and report back, that sounds like a fun challenge! The interior is brown like Palomino, I have the rear seat and a head rest, both mildew stained, and a few door panels...
Glass is good, rear 1/4 panels are good, doors, hood, pass side fender, trim....

Hi,
My husband and I have a 1976 W115 (300d) and we're looking for a passenger side mirror... Do you have one available? Thanx!

Here are some pics, it looks really good, both sides! I can cut it from the car, cutting the frame rails and inner fenders thus allowing you to drill out all of the spotwelds.
How's $125 delivered?

Thank you Benzcrusher - I am very interested and all I have to do is confirm it will work on my 1970 220. It appears that the bumpers attached to a different location (mine attach to the very end) but that can be overcome. I need to go to a Benz dealer and see if I can talk to the guy in the parts department to see if it is basically the same as mine. I will get back to you once I know. If you can get some photos of the very end of the rail I would be very appreciative.

Mike.

Here are some other pics I took today, I hope they help. Notice how the bumper supports bolt to the top of the lower radiator support and look like they are welded to the end seam. I'll take a closer look tommrow.
