190D manual transmission

Just thought I'd share that I saw a 190D with manual transmission at a junkyard in Belleville, IL (near St. Louis). This is a U-pull-it type yard, and they're generally quite reasonable price-wise. No idea what the car's history is. Motor is there, too. Car appears to have been abandoned, and was full of junk, so probably little/no regular maintenance. It also had good headlights, for what it's worth.

Hey Gene -- you bet -- it's at Pauley's, right down by the fairgrounds in Belleville. Do you know the place? If not, I can try to look up the address (and I may not have the name exactly right).

Yep, if my sense of directions or accurate, they're just east of the fairgrounds across the RR tracks. Just south of where Big Butt BBQ used to be, if you remember that place. They get some interesting cars in every once in a while, but they crush 'em regularly, too, so best not to wait too long.

I looked at the 190D today, it is a 1984 and it has the 5 speed. The guy said he wanted $150. for the transmission. He would remove it for $50. He also said he would sell the whole car for for $400. I would have gotten the car it if the dash had not been in bad shape. Car will be crushed soon.
