87 300D - Front-end wreck - Make me an offer on the whole thing
 

Ok...so I my 1987 with roughly 287K miles has approx. $2800 worth of front-end damage(water pump, radiator, hood, lights+installation). My inlaws had this car for 10 years and I have had the car for the last 10 years...thus I have the whole history. I also have a 1995 300D w/144k miles so my need to fix and continue to maintain($$$) this 1987 does not exist at this point. Since I used this mostly to commute to/from work, I would guess 70% of the miles are highway miles but car absolutes shows the 20 years of age in my opinion (for example rust had started in several spots, seats faded, radio did not work, etc.).

Before I start parting the car out....I thought I would at least put a post out there if anyone wants to take this as a whole.

I could write a book on this car...but let me summarize. 2 minor accidents - side and front(see pictures). Before the accident, the engine ran very good except for white smoke in winter until warmed up (unburnt fuel?). 0-60 in approx. 15 seconds so must have needed ALDA or some other adjustment as it should do 12 seconds. Slow rear trans seal leak and VERY, VERY rough shifting most of the time. Lots of rebuilt parts installed recently (rear calipers, Injection Pump$$$, Injectors, A/C compressor, rear shocks, etc, etc.). Basically, if something seemed broke and was important mechanically...I typicaly fixed it. I have the maintenace records that I can share except for the cost of the repairs (too embarrassed at all the $ put in this car). The engine still starts but I will not run over 1 or 2 minutes due to water pump and radiator damage in front-end wreck. A/C was cold before accident and did not leak after accident - I had it sucked out so I can part it.
