has anyone ventured the dark way and installed a megasquirt 2 to control the injection, and ignition on the w140 8 cylinder?

Reason being ignition controls cost$$, mine failed, and cost of megaquirt about the same if not less. Plus the mega might squeeze out a bit more MPG, and replacement parts would be cheaper down the line if they fail.

That or if someone has a cheap igniton module from any 8 cylinder mb model from 1992-1995, 014-545-42-32, 015-545-64-32, 015-545-62-32, 015-545-61-32 bosch 0227400826. Around $300?

No need to install Mega at this time, but have found a huge amount of info to do this if one wants to travel this road.

Finally found a good ignition module at a fair price. problem solved.
