Parting out 1981 300SD, good engine bad trans

Im parting out a 1981 300SD. Transmission went out on me, it wont shift out of 1st gear. So my only choice is to part it out. The engine is a crate engine from mercedes according to the original owner. Just put new glow plugs on it, the engine has about 200K+ actual mileage unknown, body has 660K miles on it and the engine was replaced at around 450K and another 210K was put ontop of that. All according to original owner.

Ill do a compression test but it will start at the first turn of the key. Ive included pics, the rear seats are from a later W126 so it has the headrests on them, the front seats have new horse hair and the passanger side's bottom seat cover was replaced. No rust on the body and if anyone is interested in buying the the entire car ill consider it as long as its a decent offer.

But the euro lights have been sold to another member so sorry on the lights.
The wheels are 15in aftermarket wheels from tirerack.com, the drivers side wheels dont have any curb rash but the passanger side wheels do, pics show the rash. If interested in the wheels make me an offer on them, they include lugs and are made to fit W126's. Whatever offer is made you can add $50 for a tire to replace the blown one.

Exhaust.....dont even ask, the rear muffler was bent when i was loading the car onto the u-haul dolly. You can see it in the pics and cold start video.

Shipping would probably be outrageous... but how about a price for all the A/C related components under the hood. Sans the electric fan. Hoses, compressor, compressor mounting hardware, condenser. Everything under the hood except the electric fan. Whats your price?

How about the rear C-pillar covers too? Center console wood any good? Seat cover? Speedo cluster?

Don't part her--- save her

Save this car... it is in great shape for 660K miles.

Drop in a junkyard tranny, rev her up and go another 250k

The a/c stuff is dead, i think the compressor is good but the hoses leak. The a/c was overhauled a few times according the the po and was the reason why he sold the car.

rear c-pillar covers are still intact, center console wood needs refinishing. Seat cover as in the sheepskin or the leather seat covers. speedo cluster works but will show the high miles (which isnt a bad thing )

I got the car for free from my friend, so with my current project (300D 5-speed conversion) and car payments on the TDI i cant afford to put more money into this car. Although it might be worth it to put a junkyard tranny to sell it, i dont think the car would bring much money even with a good running engine due to its mileage.

I really had to weigh in my options. and i think parting the car would pay for all the things that break along the way with my 300D

If the A/C is questionable then don't worry about it. I meant seat cover as in Sheepskin cover. Do you think the speedo cluster could be "changed" so it shows the miles on my car now? I really want a 120mph speedo. How much for those things and the rear c pillar covers?
