WTB 14" x 5.5 aluminum wheels from 83 240d.
anybody got four good straight ones?

Aren't the 5.5" hubcap wheels steels? Did they make aluminums?

There are a few aluminum ones out there. Perhaps it was in 83 only on the 240s. Very sweet riding combination if they are straight. Easy to bend on a slide into a curb though.
You're right though, most of the wheel cover wheels are steel. Tom W

No, I don't think I have any around just now either. There is a thread about this in the wheels and tires section....active in the last two or three weeks.

I think they ran longer than just 83 with them, I have them on both my '80 and '82, they are indeed nice wheels, I really like being able to pick up a wheel and tire with 2 fingers,lol.

Need a set to put on my 113. Unfortunatly do not currently have the capability to scrounge the dismantlers.
