Parting out my car, Henna interior, Cali 617 Engine

Well my car was T-Boned and i have decided to part it out and start over with a new project.

Link

I used Google pages to host my album. all pictures have description on them, but if you have any further questions ask me.

The whole car is available for parts EXCEPT for :

Euro Headlights, Tires (Rims are available), CD/Radio/MP3 Player, Euro Triangle, Hitch, Rear Axles, and Zebrano Shifter.

Info:
1985 300D California engine, 5 cylinder turbo diesel
187k miles, has very very slight blow-by (just barely able to move the oil cap)
Automatic tranny that shifted perfectly, fluid changed 17k miles ago
Mobile1 5w-30 Full synthetic for engine, 2k on this oil change.
Cruise, Ice Cold AC, automatic sunroof, vacuum system, worked perfectly before wreck. Every switch in the car worked.
all windows (except rear passenger, broken cable in door hinge) work
2.88 Rear Differential
Zebrano wood is in perfect condition, glove box spring works and is in great shape.
all body parts except for driver side door and front fender are in great shape.

Please make offers for any parts of the car, i will try to package it up and ship it in a timely fashion. i am located near Little Rock, and if anyone wants to pickup stuff that is perfectly fine. i would rather like to sell the interior as a whole, but if most parts are claimed quickly then i will be ok with it.

If anyone has a 3 piece or 1 piece Euro bumper set for a coupe please PM me.

Ohh and the trap ox has already been replaced via MB.

Email or PM me with questions and offers. i can take more pictures of anything you want to see.

Parts Car no more!!!!!

AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH well i took the door off and the front fender and well there is no frame damage whatsoever!!! this means i only need a door and a fender to get her back together and the insurance check will be $3,500 which would be an awesome paint job.

I am so so sorry for all the guys that i have been talking to about getting parts, but as of right now my 300D is not a parts car anymore!

As much as those of us with Henna interiors would have loved to pick over your car, I am much happier that you will be able to get it back going! Excellent news.
You need to deal with that motor mount situation also.......

i figured out the motor mount situation. the motor mount bold was not in place, and must have backed itself out (or i did not replace it when i replaced the motor mounts 2 years ago). because of this the passenger motor arm just slipped off of the mount. i just had to put it back on, and the car drove great, and shifted like it used to. when i go hunting for a door and fender i will pull one of the bolts out of the parts car.

Well, i have decided to part the car out. I know, i know i look silly in changing my mind so often, but after insurance and wife and yada yada, i have decided that it is better to start out with a clean car. The interior is no longer available, as i swapped it with my 240D, but the engine and trans are purchaseable, and random parts like sunroof items and tail lights, etc. are available.

m3uruguay:

the engine is available, but i currently have the turbo and trap ox taken off. The reason is that i am having a straight pipe manufactured so that that stupid trap ox is no longer stealing precious hprsepower. call me on my cell, to arrange pickup. It is still in the car at the moment, as i have not purchased a engine hoist yet.

do you want the complete doors with windows? the driver door is the one i was hit in, but all other doors are complete and in great shape. how do i ship the doors?

i was thinking of trying to make my 240D with manual windows into automatic windows, but i am not sure if that is possible. i traced the wiring to each of the doors, and that i can move over easily, but tracing the cables under the dash makes me think i wont be able to move it. anyone ever done that?

the reason i want to make them automatic is that the rear doors have the switch right now, and my crank doors wont look right. the cranks with either stick out in the square hole/opening, or they will be next to it. unless i make some kind of plastic cover to hide it.

the floor carpets were moved over to the 240D when i swapped the entire interior. quite a chore but fun. the only thing i could not move were the seat belts. they would not fit into the void, slightly different size.

how long does a dash swap take, i have heard some say that it is easy and others that i should just lay down in a grave.

The Dash changeover is a very simple job... Maybe 3 hours at the most... Jim

in switching the windows from power to manual the holes for the switch coincide with the cranks. It is not a perfect fit but not too bad. In the front you have to cut new holes for the crank.
