97-99 W140 wheels - San Jose CA - $240

I have a matched set of 4 wheels for a 97-99 W140. Daily driver condition. Any takers at $240?

I would be interested, if they are stock W140 8 hole wheels! Can you tell me more about them or link a picture? Kerbed, rust, or bent?

I'm assuming they are from your white W140 Diesel W140 you had then, but for the life of me, I can't remember

I have the w126 coupe you probably saw at the gtg in Marin County in January, and enjoyed eating lunch at the table with you and the others at Stinson Beach. You are a great guy.

If this was your car, with these wheels, this is what I would like to buy:

W140 wheels, the stock 8 hole ones like this one at the gtg:

But there was ANOTHER one on at the gtg, this one: (Was it yours?)

(These ones are NOT what I am looking for, however!!)

My PM inbox is overflowing 100% so just reply HERE if you would, Sixto.
(fingers crossed)

I am up past Auburn in the Gold country, and would come down (I have been putting this off for a long time) to get some rims. However I am alone, and would need to figure out some way to have them installed at some tire shop in your area, Big "O", Wheelworks or whatever. Lunch is on me of course

Best,

Jim

The Prime wheels went to the insurance auction with the SD.

I have only 1 8-hole wheel and it looks tired.

The set is from a 97-99 S-class - the 6-spoke wheel similar to the 202 sport wheel -

I'll take better pictures for you.

I should be able to get them as far as Roseville the around Sept 10th.

They have an offset of 51mm or something like that. I don't think they'll go on anything but a 140. I can't even get them to sit flush on the hub of my 124.

Sixto, (thanks for replying)

I have seen some of the OEM 8 hole wheels on various 126ers from time to time, so I guess they do fit, but I have no idea about the offset, spacers and so on. These are 16" wheels by the way that I am looking for, and I assume that is what those 8 hole wheels are.

It's been a "someday" project to either find a set of these (nearest junkyards to me are in Reno and Sacramento) or try and have the existing fake Lorinser no name knockoffs rechromed (if they can be saved- they were good 10 yrs ago but now pretty pitted, kerbed and rusty). When in good shape they didn't look too bad.

I am still wondering what to do. I would definately want to "plug and play" with a decent set of four, lugnuts, center caps and everything all included, and not a set needing to be restored.

I'm not keen on the the six hole setup, for my car, or even sure it would fit, but would like to see the pictures of them here anyhow.

I have been putting this off for years, but really need to address this issue.

Thx:)

Jim
