For Sale 107 4 speed manual trans.
Trans. is out of a 1973 Euro 350 slc. The trans. looks rebuilt. Clutch looks new. Comes complete with EVERYTHING needed to install from bell housing to rear end including complete brake/clutch pedal mount, drive shafts, floor shifter, and all nuts and bolts. Rear end number is 012505 3.46 SP. Rear end is a limited slip (sperrdifferential). I think the rear end is a higher ratio to match the trans. gearing and the drive shafts are different to accommodate the longer trans. Clutch master and slave cyls. obviously need kits in them.
The complete package is $1,200 plus shipping. All up I guess this weighs about 250 lbs. My zip is 78362 (just north of Corpus Christi, Tx.) so you can calculate the freight. ps. The 350 engine is available free. l understand the cams will fit a 450 and add a bit of performance to it. The engine probably weighs about 400 lbs. or a bit less. pps What ever is not sold by the end of Aug. is off to the junk yard. Make me an offer I can't refuse. Is the engine in a usable state? I know a fellow that needs a 350. -CTH

That is a very desireable setup you are offering there, Kip. The v8 sticks are few and far between.
I am sure you will have no trouble selling it all. I think you are a bit light on your weight estimates, maybe....especially the motor. Tom W

Tom,
You may be right on the weight. My kitchen scale only goes up to 12 lbs. so unless I want to get real fancy with levers, etc. I an stuck estimating. |

To bump this up I just found out that the diff. is a limited slip.

Are the driveshaft lengths the same as a 350/450SL?

I don't think so since the sl is about 11" shorter than the slc. The rear shaft may be the same length but the front shaft may be longer. If you can send me the length of your drive shafts I can check the ones I have. I will be gone for 6 days to Oregon so I will get back to you on about the 20th.

On my 300cd stick conversion we had a new driveshaft fabricated since none that I had were long enough. Cost 175 locally. Looks like it grew there and works like a charm.
We are using the 307 diff too with no ill results, and the 240 flywheel is fine too. Very minor five cylinder vibrations at certain rpm. Tom W

A 450se engine I scrapped came in at like 575 pounds. The v8 automatic transmission is roughly 100 pounds. The standard should be about 75% of that going by size.
As for driveshafts. Getting a longer one cut down is straight forward and advisable, since it will be both rebuilt and well balanced (if done right) after so many years of use. -CTH |

Does anyone know if this trans. will fit on a 300 Diesel?

I don't know why not, but I wouldn't sell it separately if I had it.
The stick setups that fit diesels are common. These v8 setups are rare as hen's teeth. You will sell it eventually to someone who needs one for a v8. Tom W
