War period Mercedes Benz calendar

Any interest in a 1940 Mercedes Benz Calendar before I put it on ebay? Its an interesting piece of mercedes memorabilia. It contains several Dr. Oetker newspaper clipings of reciepes and personal notes(obviously in German).

I don't have a price in mind, but am entertaining reasonable offers. Could even do a trade for something relating to W126 parts.

Nifty. Did you have a price in mind? I have no idea what to offer. Where did you find it, anyway?

The writing in there is old german - My greatgrandmother was taught that particular alphabet. My grandmother can read and write it, and my mother can read it for the most part. I can make out a few letters here and there.
The recipes look interesting - Fake marzipan torte...hmmmm

If it was during wartime, it wouldn't entirely surprise me! They added sawdust to the bread in the rougher months.

Still dunno what to offer for that thing. I'll start the bidding at $20 shipped, I guess.

Sorry guys... maybe it was a bit premature for me to put it up for sale. Just a FYI, the calendar is not in the US yet... but with me in Europe.

I wish *I* were in Europe with you. Wait, that sounded bad.

My wife and I were in Garmisch last fall, and to this day, I am frequently checking the Garmisch webcam for a glimpse of the pedestrian walkway we spent so much time on. Lord, I miss that place.

While holding the alt key down type 132 on the Numbers Keypad. Release the Alt key and ä appears. If you made an error use backspace once. This does not work with the numbers across the top of the keyboard. This method works with many word processors and HTML editors but not with all.

ä 132 Ä 142
ö 148 Ö 153
ü 129 Ü 154
ß 225
