Two mercedes Benz parts cars for sale.
1979 Yellow 300D - brown interior.
1980 Blue 300D - Palamino interior.

Until October 7th, make me an offer on the cars as whole, will have to be towed.

Otherwise make me an offer for parts, u-pull. Me-pull is extra.

I've collected them over the past two years. The timing chains broke on both of them and I want to clear my driveway and my garage.

The Good:

1 set of alloy bundt cake rims with good winter tires.
1 set of steel rims with yellow hub caps and good all-season tires.
A/C compressor was working on one of the cars when I stopped driving it.
Sunroof motor is good on a least one of them.
Most Power windows worked.
I fixed the odometer on one, can fix the other one.
Palamino seats in very good condition. Brown seats need fixing (I can tell you an easy fix).
Starters and batteries were good.
Generators were good.
Almost complete first aid kit.
Most service records.
Fog lights good.
Original window glass. 1 good front window glass.
Spare tires, spark plug puller (I don't know why it was with it this car).
Injectors, both styles of glow plugs.
1 working antenna.
Original becker stereo.
Mercedes dealer new floor mats.
Ask about anything else.

If you buy both cars I will also throw in a bunch of new oil and fuel filters, fuses, and a 1 day old air filter.


The bad:
Engine might be salvageable on 1 as the timing chain broke at idle.
The transmission on the '79 slipped in reverse, but it should only need the reverse band tightened (I'll give you the how-to), but there's a possibility it's not fixable (buyer beware).
1 sunroof gives no response (could be a couple things).
1-2 bad power windows.
some bad vacuum pods for climate control.
Ask for anything else.

Final warning:
1 of the cars is in my driveway and I can't pull parts that will get my neighbours angry (like doors, windows, fenders. The other car in my garage should be fine for that. That's more motivation to buy yourself the whole car.

As an FYI I've started pulling parts. So far I've pulled the lights, mirror and some of the internals from one of the cars. If you're interested in them or any other part please PM me. I'm not allowed to get my laptop until I've gotten rid of the cars!

Oh and I'm making a trip down to seattle washington next week if anyone wants me to ship from there. Just give me time to pull the parts!

Well, those lighter colored seats look absolutely perfect for China, but I'm not sure it is possible for me to be much further from your location. Too heavy to ship. Somebody will give them a good home.....

Paul, to the right of the yellow circle is the throttle linkage (armature).

I copied this photo from the forum, although it is not a 79 300D, the linkage looks similar so you can locate it on your 79 300D.

Someone in Seattle is interested. If not, I can see if my friends who are coming up from Texas mind including them as their carry on.:D

First aid Boxes.
 

A bit dusty. The brown one has a first aid kit in it, but I'll have to look to see how original the stuff is inside.

First Aid Box and Kit
 

Someone asked for photos of the First Aid Box and I included pictures of the kit as well. The First Aid Kit is Canadian as can be seen from the photo. Put together by the White cross.

I also have all the original books that come with the car, including the stamped metal owners card. I can post pictures if people are interested.

I pulled the box this morning and gave it a quick wash. It's showing a bit of soap residue, those aren't scratches.

Looking for an ACC Servo for my 79 300D.
And if you have the updated glow plugs, I still have the loop series style
and am looking to update for improved cold weather starting.
Do you have the hubcaps still ?
I am looking for one for my spare :)
And finally, did you have any working mechanical antennaes left ?

Hi there-
I'm trying to restore my '79 300CD interior with as many original parts as possible. As the floorboards are made of that plastic/rubber stuff that gets hard and crumbles into a gabillion pieces... I was wondering if you had any descent ones still available?

I'm expecting a trip down to Seattle soon if anyone wants anything shipped to them.

I was just out pulling relays among other things and also pulled a working A/C amplifier if anyone is interested.

These cars need to be gone before summer.

Also, I have a working transmission for a w123 1979 300D. The reverse slipped, but I believe it's a simple tightening of the reverse band. There are several threads on this forum. You'd have to come get it though, unless you maid me enough.

Just to let anyone know that wants them (probably in BC) that if someone wants to pick up the cars by this weekend minus what I've sold already then you can have both for $300. You must pick them up.

If you want to stop by and pick parts then that's fine too. I want to move these cars ASAP and don't have much time to do anything with them.

Rocker panels will probably be cheaper and better shape if you get them through sherman auto parts.
