Dallas area - light grey W126 complete rear seat - very nice

<<<<UPDATE FIRST $250 takes it!!!>>>

Well, I pulled the rear back seat out of storage that I bought from Silverstar Recycling (Rancho Cordova, CA) way back in 2004 off ebay and spent my ENTIRE Saturday cleaning them up, slathering them leather cleaner / conditioner and buffing then to a nice shine. I pulled out the rear seat of my 84 and found out the seat back bracket is differnt - ARGH! My wife was more dissapointed than I as the leather is AMAZING on these seats.

So here is the scoop. My invoice says it was pulled from an 86 4 door 560. THEY ARE HEATED (only thing the electrical connectors could be - right?)!!! As you see they have headrests as well.

The seats have some wrinkled in the leather at the moment as I had some other things stacked on top of them. I think they will come out with time. There are no tears. Look like less than 50K of wear. PM if your interested - $350 and it's yours (less than what I paid in '04). Might sound a little steep, but when you see the condition of the leather, you'll know it's a real score.

I think I could have tweaked the brackets on the seat back to make them fit, but I just didn't have the heart as this piece was so damn nice.

Tempting but, I'll have the same bracket problem with the '85.

This must be a long body "SEL" seat.

SEL? Not sure.....

I'll have to take a picture of the back of the seat tonight. It actually has these cone-shaped plastic dowels (three if I remember correctly) on the top edge where you would hook the seat back near the rear shelf of the car. Of course my current 84 is not set up for this.

I was seriously bummed this didn't fit as ththe leather on my current seat back near the top (where you would have headrests) is a stiff as cardboard from too much sun exposure and these are supple. Dang it!

more pics

first pic is the cone shaped tab I was talking about - there are three across the top

second pic is a tag I found on the back of the back - looks like feb '86 production

Someone on another forum suggested that the tabs are for RECLINING seats? Just FYI

Thumbs up

I TOO mentioned it's for the power recline only!! Will not fit non-recline seats.
