1986 300E 5-speed parts car
Howdy:
Yes.....here it is....a complete donor car to upgrade your W124 to a 5-speed stick! This car is one of the approximately 1000 300E's that made it to the US in the years 1986 and 1988 with a manual transmission. This car will never be a driver again. It's way too far gone in my opinion. Body damage front right side (headlight area...pretty significant), motor needs major work, odometer broken at 249K miles. There was a window down when I got it....it was wet inside. Yuk. I picked it up 3 years ago, and wanted to transfer the bits to my wagon when it's tranny went out. Well, the wagon's tranny is still OK and I'm getting rid of it, so no need for the donor! I do not have a title for this car. It wil need to be towed/flatbedded away. I'm in Durham, Connecticut. In the summer of 2005, I got it running briefly and ran it up and down the street. I got it through all 5 gears and into reverse, and it worked just fine. And it's been parked ever since. The shifter bushings are completely shot, but the clutch worked fine. I'd like $1000 for the car. Make me an offer. Brian
