I wanted so badly to have a set of white face gauges for my white 190E. I had done so much custom work to it in and out and the white face gauges would set it off perfectly. I started looking and WOW! I refused to pay $150- $200 for a simple gague face overlay!

SO, I got creative and after several failures I got them perfect. I made my own and they are outstanding. Now I make them for people all over the world. Well, I did do two sets for people in Australia and I did the KPH large and no MPH at all like the European model. I have made over 45 sets so far and everyone is beyond pleased. $44.50 including shipping and insurance to anywhere in US will get you a custom set of gauge ovrlays. WHite face, redface, MB blue, silver, whatever. Text colors all custom also. I can add logos like AMG or the MB star. Be creative. You will not be sorry, these are high quality laminated self adhesive overlays with complete instuctions and a year warranty against everything, I will replace them free for one year. $44.50 anywhere in US, $55.00 anywhere in the world. Email me for a sample photo at crhenkel@aol.com. I am working currently on a web page for the sales.

gauges

I can do just about any gauge you want to send me a clean clear digital scan of. 120 mph, 140 mph and 160 mph speedometer for differnt models with correct gauge layouts for all 190E and 300E years. I can do other models on a case by case basis due to lack of dash layouts

Do you have pictures of some of your products???

The only original part inside my car is my instrument cluster and I will probably change it for an AMG dash cluster after my 300SL is finished.
Anyways, I need either a black (OEM) RPM overlay to get the proper reading on the AMG cluster or I want white (sport) gauges for my 1993 cluster (the OEM dash cluster annoys me).

If you cannot display pics in this forum, you may send some examples to my mail address: MBenz@benzsport.com

Thanks in advance!

greetingz,

Hey they should look pretty good how about posting out some pics on these dials are they stick on type? or are they aluminium backs?
They should also fit a W123 the dash layout is very similar to the 190E, My wife has a 190 also like yours.
I have emailed you direct and includecd a pic of my interior so you can see the layout yourself.
Chech with the local deal or wrecker and see if the dials are similar sizes . The w126 and w123 are actually the same dash clusters(so it says in very small writing on the bottom of the speedo).
Kind regards
BB

BB,
thanks for the info on the cross over on the gauge faces. I was relativly sure that the W123 and W126 had similar faces but not positive. Also, with a scan or photo of the gauge needed I can make anything. the most exact method is to take apart the gauge and remove the aluminum faces and either scan them on a comnputer and send me the files or to simply send me the actual gauge faces. If I get the faces I will scan them the same day and return them next day air at my cost... I get a new template I need to make more gauges and you get the best quality custom faces. Removing the faces is the same process that you will do when you install the custom faces anyhow, except inthe custom install you do not actually remove the original face. Removing them is just two screws in each face. No glue involved so no damage is possible.
Yes My product is an overlay, no the actual aluminum face. They are heavy laminated w/ uv protectant vinyl and printed on quality acid stable adhesive packed card stock. Even after all this care, should one ever have a problem, I'll send you new ones free.

Someone tell me how to use this post to place photos on here and I'll do so.
Christopher

here is one of crhenkel's gauges

Christopher,

I took the liberty to upload the pic you send me and display it on this forum and will start a thread about your gauge overlays on benzsport.com as well in the hope that I get some enthusiasts for the light emitting overlays!

If you have other examples that you want to have displayed here, just mail them to me and I will upload them so you can display them until you have finished your own website.

Thumbs up

Excellent responce to the white face gauge post I put on here!
I have learned since that the W201, W123, W124, and W126 bodies all use the same layout and therefore can utilize the gauge faces I can produce. They do however have to be the front lighted gauges. I am still not ready to produce back lit gauges, they are a whole different product.
I did create a simple web page to help people see the product and get more information. Iwill be adding to it soon, but it is available now at:
http://hometown.aol.com/crhenkel/myhomepagebusiness.html
thank you MBenz for helping out!

Chris, need a white set just like that for my white 560SEC with blue interior(what a match). Also would like a silver set for my wifes silver on black 420E. Can't e-mail from work, so I am posting. How do I get the guages out? Once out can I send them to you to adhere or is it easy enough for me to do? Hate like hell to get a bubble. You can E-mail me at the listed address in my profile or whatever. Thanks, Nick

Christopher,

I might be able to get you a broken W202 cluster to use as an example for creating back-lit gauge cluster overlays.
I will mail you when I have the cluster(s).

MBenz,
Thanks, I need the cluster to do anything. DOn't have a template for the backlit gauges to work with.

If anyone out there has a guage set that they want to part with, let me know. Also if you have a model that you wnat gauges for and I don't have the template for it but you can send me the gauge faces from the car I will give you a great discount! It gives me a bigger inverntory and you a perfect custom set of gauges for dirt cheap prices!
