FS 85AMP W126 Diesel Alternator

2 Attachment(s)
This is a completely rebuilt 126 Alternator (from a SDL) that utilizes the OEM Bosch case but has diesel tractor alternator guts. No messy connections plug and play with MB OEM conntectors. Heavy duty stator, new diodes, bearing, brush pack./regulator. Using the Audi guts as some have done to get the extra amps for power does not perform well with the low RPM of MB diesels. If this alternator were any nicer I could call it new. I have built several of these and run them in my own 126.

$95 ahipped Priority Mail anywhere in US. Other locations? Shipping weight is 10# 14 oz from 39047. Pay Pal only. 100% money back if not satisfied upon return of item. No core necessary - but it would be nice:D

Requires original pulley.

PM me
Thanks
John

Will it fit any engine? Or just the early diesels 617 or later 603?

This was a core off a SDL. Some of the later model diesels (like my SD) did use the same alternator. The detailed pics should help identify. This price is an easy 1/2 off a remanufactured 65 amp that you don't know what was replaced.

Sorry for the questions, just double-checking.
My original 87-300SDL-alternator plug/connector would plug in to this right?
All I need to do is switch my belt pulley from the old alt to this one, right?

Will it fit a 617? I'd be interested if it did. I put a new 65A on last year but it doesn't quite cut it when I have all my lights + rear defroster + blower on high while slogging along in the snow....this one would probably fit the need.

Yes there is a picture of the connector on the back of alternator - uses standard Bosch brush/reg pack. Swap your pulley over.

Some 617 utilzed the same alternator. Compare yours to the picture.

It does look to be the same size...hmmm.....it might be a nice upgrade to have. Think it would make enough difference to offset my afterglow system and then once thats off...enough to run all accessories without dropping below 13V? I am currently running a 65A....and it struggles with everything on.
