60s Mercedes Benz 220SB Parts

Hey guys, I'm obviously very new to this forum. I was referred by one of the posters on my Supra forum. I have done much business over there so feel free to get in touch with their mods or I could provide references if need be.

On to the parts...

My father purchased all of these parts in case something went wrong with his 220 and we now need the space they occupy.

220SB Engine - This 50k motor is complete from bottom to top. Shortblock, head, distributor, carbs (Solexs)... I'm not very familiar with the anatomy of these engines but I can say with confidence everything is there. I contacted a company in CA which sells short and longblocks as well as heads for this motor at a few grand a pop and they offered $800 for it. Considering they sell the longblocks for ~6.8k, I'm not very confident in going through with a sale to them as their payment terms are unlike anything I've ever dealt. If any of the gentlemen on this board are interested and can match the price, it's yours.

Transmission for above - No idea what this thing is worth. I can't find any listings for them anywhere. All I know is that it's automatic and has the same mileage as the motor.

In addition, I have just about every piece of chrome from the car from the tailights and trim, rear bumper, front bumper, bumper guards, two grilles, one brass radiator, 1 pair of headlights... anything you can imagine I more than likely have. Shoot me a part you need and an offer thereof, and I'll get back to you.

If this forum requires a price listing for each item, let me know and I'll post ball park figures. I would do this now, but I'm running short on time and wanted to get this ad posted.

In addition to this board, I can be contacted at michaelcrovito@gmail.com if you have any further questions. Thanks for looking

An 800$ offer for a motor out of a car that can't be verified for "good used" status is a good deal. take it.

As for the automatic, it's testable by a good auto tranny shop. It's value is anywhere from 200$-400$ depending how how badly your customer wants it.

You might find a customer in a week. You might find one in a month. The number of potential buyers is unfortunately small.

Same selling problem with all the other parts too, but little things at little prices are easier to find buyers for.
