Wanted - 420SEL 1988 to 91
 

Checking my options. Love my current 1986 420 but would like to check my options on something newer, less fixits. Anyone have either a car of this description or a suggested option for me? I'm in the NY area and would have to sell my 420 to buy replacement.

How about a VERY nice 86? This belongs to the guy who works on my cars when I can't do it. It was his wife's car and it is an extremely nice car. Has about 120K miles on it and he's done ALL of the maintenance recently on it. Says it should run another 120K without anything major. He did the chain, valve guides, gear box, a/c blows cold, etc. Needs nothing. Interior is at least very good, exterior at least very good. Texas car, so no rust. Wife's car, so it was kept in the garage. I looked it over again yesterday, and for it's age, it's the best you will find. I would buy it if I didn't have the 300E. He wants $7500 for it. NYC to Texas is a long way! It really does sound like a good car for me but to go to Texas is a heck of a trip for me. I'll call and see if he'll send some photos.
