W107 "aluminum" engine oil pan
I'm looking w107 oil pan for "alu"-engine. So the pan from earlier 350/450 won't go. It has to be from w107 ( 380, 420, 500, 560 SL or SLC) because w126 oil pans won't fit to w107. You can see the difference from the bottom of the pan. The w126 pan has two piece pan, cast aluminum top and sheet metal bottom. w107 has one piece cast aluminum.

you'll also need to change over the oil filter mount. If your donor engine has a filter that points up. -CTH

This I knew already, the filter mount ain't that expensive even as new...but the oil pan is different story.... also i need later model radiator so i can use the original hoses, luckily that I have already.
Thanks anyway Timo p.s. actually I need two of these oil pans..a friend has a 300 PS (Din) 560 SEC engine in his w107 and he had to do some not so wanted modification with the original w126 oil pan..so he needs one SL pan too to make it as it should be... I'm just putting a -90 10:1 compression (Euro spec) 420 SEC engine to my 350 -72 SL... |
